Volunteer - Children's Home Visit
In 1948, based on the Child Welfare Law, this home was officially recognized as an institution for maltreated children and named Hiroshima Shudoin.   About 120 children from birth to age 18 live here.  HIWC volunteer members visit the home twice a month to play with and enjoy visiting the toddlers.   It is a truly rewarding experience.  Please wear appropriate clothing for playing outdoors. In case of rain, we play indoors. Coordinators will provide transportation to the children's home. Member's children are also welcome.
