- Sumo wrestling - includes information on history, tournaments and
tickets. The event is held during specific months of the year in different
cities.
- Miyako Odori English Japanese - The "Dance of the Capital" or also
known as the "Cherry Blossom Dance." This is a dance performance that
is held once a year in Kyoto, since 1872. It is performed by the geiko of
Gion Kobu April 1 - 30. Tickets are $15 - $40 (reserved)
- Gion Odori - First performed in 1953, the dance is distinguished for its
original planning and composition. Annually mid-November
- Sapporo Yuki Masturi or Snow Festival - Held early February for 7
days, every year. Started in 1950, this masturi showcases amazing works
of ice sculptures and creations.
